Incident at Inner Loop of the Beltway near Branch Ave. cleared

An incident involving six cars that temporarily shut down all lanes of the Inner Loop of the Beltway near the Route 5/Branch Avenue exit has been cleared. Maryland State Police said all lanes were reopened about 1 p.m.

An incident involving six cars has temporarily shut down all lanes of the Inner Loop of the Beltway near Exit 7B — the Route 5/Branch Avenue exit in Prince George’s County. Maryland State Police said some traffic is getting by using the left shoulder. Tow trucks are en route, but there is no estimate for when the lanes will reopen.
