There is a power outage Monday morning at the Cleveland Park Metro stop.

Dan Stessel, a Metro spokesman, said Pepco lost power to the station just after 8 a.m. The station is open, but there is emergency lighting in use. There is no effect on train service, but escalators and elevators are out of service.

He said the “good news” is that the peak flow is with customers coming into station and walking down the escalator stairs. There are shuttle buses at the station going between Cleveland Park and Woodley Park stations for those who need it, according to Stessel. He said there is hope that the power will be restored shortly.
