Metro’s Red Line faced early morning delays

Original post at 5:15 a.m.

Metro riders on the Red Line should expect delays Thursday morning.

Trains were sharing a track between Fort Totten and Silver Spring stations because of a track problem at the Takoma station.

The delays were in both directions of the line, but were resolved in less than 30 minutes.

At 6:30 a.m., Metro said normal service had resumed at the Takoma station on the Red Line.
