Eastbound U.S. 50 reopens after sinkhole

Maryland State Police said the eastbound lanes of U.S. 50 in Annapolis reopened Thursday morning after a sinkhole was discovered in the area.

The sinkhole measured more than three feet in diameter and closed a roughly mile-long stretch of U.S. 50 near Route 665 around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the hole ran under all lanes of the roadway.
