VRE trains are running back at speed, but late and crowded

Updated with trains now running up to an hour late.

After imposing flood-related speed restrictions for almost four hours, Virginia Railway Express reports that its trains are now running at normal speeds, but many of them are late and crowded.

The railway said on Twitter that trains on both the Manassas and Fredericksburg lines were running up to an hour late.

It said that train 305 will skip the Crystal City station because it is too crowded.
