Riders taking regional rail lines in Maryland and Virginia may have to contend with heat-related delays.
From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., VRE trains to Fredericksburg will run at slower speeds because of the hot weather. Travelers going only a station or two from Washington won’t notice much of a delay, but by the end of the line in Fredericksburg, trains will be about 11 minutes behind schedule, the railway said.
On the MARC Brunswick and Camden lines, speed restrictions will cause delays of five to 15 minutes, the railway said.
