Have any tips for new Metro riders? Please share them with us.

Soon, the Silver Line will open, adding thousands of new daily commuters to the Metrorail system. Some number of them will be novices when it comes to riding a subway every morning and night. So we’d like to offer them some tips.

Please take a moment and tell us what your habits are as a Metro rider. What small things have you discovered you can do — in stations and on trains — to make your commute more comfortable? What are your secrets, your little tricks? And specifically what annoys you most about how other riders sometimes behave — so we can tell the new folks what not to do.

Please e-mail any and all thoughts to dugganp@washpost.com. And please include a phone number where we can reach you, so we can talk in detail.

Thanks much.
