Washington Flyer plan for Silver Line opening day

Saturday will be a day of transition for the Washington Flyer bus service that connects Dulles International Airport to Metro.  When Metro’s new Silver Line opens at noon Saturday, Washington Flyer will end service to the West Falls Church Metro station and begin service to the new Wiehle-Reston East station on the Silver Line.

The new service, renamed Silver Line Express, will cost $5 each way.

If you are traveling Saturday, here is what you need to know:

Boarding at Dulles  

The last Washington Flyer Coach bus bound for West Falls Church Metro will depart Dulles at 11:45 a.m.

The first Silver Line Express bus bound for Wiehle-Reston East Metro will depart Dulles at 11:40 a.m.

Boarding from a Metrorail station

The last Washington Flyer Coach from West Falls Church to Dulles will depart West Falls Church at 12:15 p.m.

The inaugural Silver Line Express bus from Wiehle-Reston East to Dulles will depart Wiehle-Reston East at 12 noon.
