Emergency repairs close Columbia Road NW in Washington

Authorities closed Columbia Road NW in Washington for emergency repairs, D.C. police said Tuesday.

The road is closed between 13th and 14th streets NW for emergency water and sewer repairs.

A Monday afternoon alert posted on the department’s Twitter account said the closure was because of sinkhole repairs. The alert said the road would reopen Thursday.

Police said Columbia Road NW was still closed at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday.
