Update: Delays resolved on Metro’s Red and Silver lines

Normal service has resumed on Metro’s Red and Silver lines.

Metro said the Red Line is no longer single-tracking trains.

An alert said residual delays would continue in both directions because of the earlier track problem at Forest Glen station.

Riders should also expect delays on Metro’s Silver Line Thursday morning.

Metro said the delay is due to a signal problem outside Wiehle-Reston East station.

Metro riders can expect delays Thursday morning on Metro’s Red Line, with trains single-tracking.

Trains are single-tracking between the Silver Spring and Forest Glen stations because of a track problem outside the Forest Glen station.

Metro said to expect delays in both directions.
