MARC trains to Washington were delayed Thursday morning because of scheduled track work and signal issues.
An alert from the Maryland Transit Administration said the 4:40 a.m. Penn Line train 505 from Perryville would be about 20 to 25 minutes late into Washington because of the scheduled work. The alert also said signal issues between the Edgewood and Martin Airport stations are delaying the train.
MARC’s Penn Line train 505 had been scheduled to arrive in Washington at 6:21 a.m.
Another alert said that because of the delayed train, another MARC train that left Baltimore at 5:05 a.m. will follow it and make all stops.
The second train was scheduled to arrive in Washington at 6:50 a.m.
A MARC train scheduled to depart from Washington Thursday morning has also been delayed because of the late arrival of Penn Line train 505.
