The second and third rounds of the NFL draft will begin with some high-profile names still unclaimed.
West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith was the unlucky player repeatedly shown sitting and waiting in vain for his name to be called. He left Radio City Music Hall and, ESPN reported, would not be returning for Friday night’s rounds. He declined an interview, but Suzy Kolber reported that he was heading home.
Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o and LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu also will try their luck again.
Thanks for watching along with the blog tonight.
