Angry Birds inspires UNC Asheville goalkeeper’s soccer trick shot video

The Angry Birds phenomenon has officially gone global.

From your smart phone to the toy store to live action videos to cookbooks and moonpies in China, Rovio Entertainment’s chubby little aves and bright green pigs are everywhere.

In August the company sought funding that would give it a $1.2 billion valuation. And now it’s spawned a Disney spin-off game featuring “Swampy the Alligator.”

UNC Asheville goalkeeper Lassi Hurskainen is hopeful his individual brand will one day rival Angry Birds.

Until that day comes, he’ll continue making ridiculous trick shot soccer videos. The latest features everyone’s bird-launching video game.
