Well, this clearly wasn’t what the Arizona Cardinals were planning.

They traded running back Tim Hightower to the Washington Redskins, then lost Ryan Williams to a ruptured patellar tendon.

Now, after sending cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to the Philadelphia Eagles, they have lost Greg Toler to a torn left anterior cruciate ligament.

Toler, a Lawrenceville, Va., native, was a fourth-round draft pick out of St. Paul’s in 2009. He was injured in the preseason game Saturday against the San Diego Chargers.
