Rory McIlroy’s management company confirmed that he has split from his long-time girlfriend and the Irish Golf Desk reports that he is “in a close friendship” with the No. 1-ranked tennis player in the world, Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark.

There are photos all over the interwebs of them kissing, but let’s look to the tweets, shall we? Although McIlroy was a frequent spectator at Wimbledon, Wozniacki tweeted that they met at the David Haye-Wladimir Klitschko bout in Hamburg on July 2 (which was certainly more memorable than the bout).
Wozniacki, the next day: “Fantastic fight! Also met Rory McIlory, who was sitting just behind me:) Really down to earth great guy:)”
McIlroy on July 11, Wozniacki’s 21st birthday: “happy birthday! you’re getting old ;)”
Wozniacki: “haha I know! But still not as old as you;0 at least now you will be able to buy me a drink in the US haha.”
