Coastal Carolina football coach David Bennett wants dogs — no cats — in his huddle

For some college football coaches, preseason practices can feel like cat herding expeditions. Others try to gin up intensity from their players by comparing them to lions and tigers.

Coastal Carolina head coach David Bennett would rather kick feline to the curb altogether. You see, he “don’t need no meows.”

We’re not even two weeks into the 2011 college football season and Bennett is already the leader in the clubhouse for the best press conference of the year with this gem from WPDE’s NewsChannel 15. I’m not sure it rivals Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy’s infamous “I’m a man, I’m 40!” rant, but this one is certainly up there.

What’s your favorite college football coach rant?
