Revis Island is re-open for business.

The New York Jets cleared All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis for contact Thursday, 11 days after he suffered a mild concussion when he was accidentally kicked in the head by a teammate in a Week 1 win against Buffalo.

Jets coach Rex Ryan said he is optimistic about Revis’ chances of playing Sunday in Miami, but did not definitively say he would play. Revis passed all required tests and is expected to practice fully Thursday.

Update (3:30 p.m.): Revis did practice and afterward told reporters his intention to return to action this week.

With Revis out of Sunday’s game against Pittsburgh, Ben Roethlisberger threw for 275 yards and a pair of touchdowns and the Steelers rolled to a 27-10 victory.

After a dismal debut that included three interceptions, Miami rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill played much better in a 35-13 win against Oakland. He completed 18 of 30 passes for 200 yards, including nine receptions and 111 yards for Brian Hartline — a player who Revis could be charged with shutting down on Sunday.
