They lost cornerback Terrell Thomas in Monday night’s game and learned today that backup cornerback Brian Witherspoon also suffered a season-ending injury. Witherspoon tweeted today that he tore his anterior cruciate ligament:

“Just wanna say thank you to all who were behind me, and supporting me! My season has come to an end TORN ACL.”

Witherspoon is the third Giants cornerback to suffer a season-ending injury since training camp began. Besides Thomas’ injury, Bruce Johnson tore his Achilles tendon.
