Haynesworth is ‘day-to-day,’ Belichick says, for Patriots

New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick offered a glimmer of a hint of an inkling of an update about Haynesworth, who was not on the field when practice began today, according to the Boston Globe, and hasn’t practiced since Friday.

“I think I’d put him in the day-to-day category,” Belichick said. “He’s getting some treatment and I think he’ll be back out there as soon as he can. I think he’s working really hard and hopefully he’ll be back out there in a matter of hopefully a day or a couple days.”

Belichick, at his Belichickian best, would not say whether Haynesworth’s knee is the problem, only that there are a number of players who also are day-to-day.
