Jeremy Maclin mystery continues, although Eagles GM expects him to return ‘shortly’

An expected update on the health of Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin never came Tuesday, but General Manager Howie Roseman did indicate that he expects Maclin to join the team “shortly.”

“We totally anticipate Jeremy being part of our football team,” Roseman said in an interview on 97.5 the Fanatic. “We anticipate him being back here shortly, with us when we get back to NovaCare [on Saturday].”

Maclin, who has not practiced with the team, has been undergoing tests in St. Louis, his hometown, since Thursday. His brother, Andre Maclin, told the Sporting News on Monday that Maclin was “fine.” Although he promised an update Tuesday, the Eagles did not.

“We're still waiting on the tests to come in, then we'll be able to get you that information,” Reid said.
