The day after San Francisco 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh and Detroit Lions Coach Jim Schwartz greeted each other way, way too warmly after the Niners’ win in Detroit, the NFL’s other Harbaugh brought some humor to the situation.
This, before Roger Goodell presumably brings some fining to the situation.
“Jim won [the game], right? Someone went after Jim?” his brother John, the Baltimore Ravens’ head coach, asked Sunday (via Baltimore Sun) with a smile. “Let’s put it this way: I’ve been in fights with Jim before, too. I won some early when we were in our childhood career. Then it got slanted the other way for a while. We’ve got one coming up on Thanksgiving night, don’t we?”
(Video after the jump.)
Oh, my, yes. This is going to be the best Thanksgiving ever. Detroit vs. Green Bay and Harbaugh’s Ravens against Harbaugh’s 49ers. (Dinner will be served during Miami-Dallas.)
While we’re marking calendars, note that the 49ers play Pete Carroll’s Seattle Seahawks on Christmas Eve (thank you, Santa!) as you relive this tender “What’s your deal?” moment between Carroll, then the USC coach, and Harbaugh, then the Stanford coach, from 2009.
