Announcing an interest to play international basketball during the NBA lockout is so pass é .

Deron Williams started the fad and now everyone is doing it.

It’s time for a new summer trend to emerge among NBA superstars — like dazzling crowds with jaw-dropping shooting performances in outdoor pickup games.

Credit Brandon Jennings for kicking things off with his 81-point explosion during a Long Beach charity game in early July. But what Kevin Durant did at Harlem’s famous Rucker Park over the weekend was a sight to behold.

Watch Durant drain jumper after jumper from extra-long range, much to the delight of those in attendance.

Durant made 9-of-11 threes including five in a row in the fourth quarter.

DC Power guard Randy (White Chocolate) Gill told the New York Post:

“Some nights are very special. This is going down as one of those nights.”
