Kimbo Slice scores massive knockout in boxing debut (Video)

Kimbo Slice: Renaissance Man.

The burly, bearded brawler who became a YouTube phenomenon when videos of his backyard bare-knuckle fighting found the Internet is back — with a vengeance.

Saturday night Slice entered a four-sided ring with gloves on for the first time and turned in a brief but emphatic boxing debut at Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma.

The 6-foot-2, 234-pounder needed a mere 17 seconds to land a flurry of punches, culminating in a massive right uppercut to the severely overmatched James Wade who fell flat to the canvas.

It remains to be seen if ”The King of the Web Brawlers” can hold his own against a more fitting foe, but his first taste of boxing certainly went a lot better than his fourth mixed martial arts outing. That one — which went down as Slice’s first defeat — lasted just 14 seconds.

If only Gus Johnson had been on the call for Saturday’s bout, too.
