London 2012 Olympics: “Out of a Rainbow” theme song released

The London 2012 Olympics are just around the corner, which means it’s time to start gearing up for the games with more logo and mascot groaning and, of course, the theme song!

Everyone’s favorite cyclops tag team of Wenlock and Mandeville — London’s 2012 Games mascots — released their theme, titled “Out of a Rainbow,” in a colorful cartoon video.

Naturally, the song is instrumental, features countless Disney-style sound effects. Check it out for yourself here and try to figure out just what the heck London’s Olympics organizers were thinking when they dreamed up Wenlock and Mandeville.

But Wenlock and Mandeville may end up being the least of London’s concerns as fears of a windy track and field venue, a controversial sailing course, outrage over ticket policies and expected spotty cell phone service are already springing up across the pond.

Did I mention, RAINBOWS?
