New York linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka consulted the history books and fired back today on WFAN’s “Boomer and Carton” show.

“He should [be eager for the Cowboys to kick the Giants’ backsides]. I mean, the Giants have been whupping his [backside] for a long time,” Kiwanuka said (via NJO.com’s Mike Garafolo).

When the Giants host the Cowboys in the NFL’s 2012 opener Wednesday night, Jones will get a reminder that the Giants won a championship in February. Kiwanuka wasn’t unsympathetic to Jones’s feelings.

“It’s gotta be tough on the outside looking in on all of these championships lately,” Kiwanuka said. “That’s the feeling I feel like everybody in the league has and everybody should have because we’re here on top and everybody should be wanting to knock you off.”

Over to you, Cowboys.
