(Watch a sneak peak of the new reality show “Same Name” featuring Mike Tyson and David Hasselhoff here.)
Iron Mike Tyson sent a number of opponents to the hospital during his illustrious career as a heavyweight boxer.
Now he’s heading to the hospital himself — to work... as a male nurse.
You read that right.
The former champion is one of several celebrities to be featured on a new CBS series called “Same Name” which asks famous people to trade lives with strangers bearing their same name.
Tyson’s episode, which airs August 7, features a features a male nurse named Mike Tyson who lives in the tiny town of Zeeland, Michigan. As Michigan Mike’s stand-in, Tyson will sport his scrubs at Spectrum Health community hospital.
If called into surgery, Tyson will always have that one otoplasty on his resume to fall back on.
After several rumors suggested Tyson might dip his toe into the reality TV waters sooner (he actually kind of held his own on Italy’s version of “Dancing with the Stars” — it may be a toss up with Evander Holyfield’s showing on the American version), photo and video evidence suggests this one is actually the real deal.
For the last time, I am not doing Dancing with the Stars. I don't know where this rumor started but it is not true.
I'm shutting rumors down 2day. I'm not doing any Celebrity Big Brother shows either. I deal with enough drama. I'd never agree to it.
Kathy Griffin and Reggie Bush will also be featured on the show which premieres this Sunday with a — who else? — David Hasselhoff episode.
