Ndamukong Suh, Rob Gronkowski to sit in spinning chairs on new reality dating show

I’m single and I’m looking. (Mark Humphrey - AP)
MTV’s mid-90s show “ Singled Out ” provided a silly new twist on the ageless “Dating Game” model during its three-year run on the cable network. It also helped launch the careers of Jenny McCarthy and Carmen Electra.

Now, in the ongoing effort to exhaust every possible avenue for “reality TV,” Fox is going back to the well with a new dating show called “The Choice.”

The new twist? Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh and Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will be among the eligible “famous” singles who will hand pick their own blind dates.

Per the Detroit Free Press, the show gives “everyday contestants” the chance to win a date with their “famous counterparts.” Contestants are pared down over three rounds after which the celeb will blindly choose his/her date.

Hmmm. Sounds a lot like Singled Out, doesn’t it?

But wait! There’s more!

As “The Voice” has demonstrated, every successful show needs spinning chairs. So naturally, “The Choice” will follow suit.

As for the contestants... We know Gronk loves to dance in the club. And we know Suh also knows how to use his feet. So ladies, get your dancing shoes on.

Personally, I’d much rather watch a buddy sitcom called “Gronk & Suh.” But that’s just me.

The show debuts June 7. Now enjoy this entirely ambiguous teaser.
