Jim Riggleman, who quit last month as manager of the Washington Nationals, has been hired by the San Francisco Giants as a special assignment scout.
Riggleman will primarly scout National League East teams, according to a report by the San Francisco Mercury News.
Riggleman, 58, quit the Nationals in a contract dispute June 23, a decision he later called a “lose-lose.”
Riggleman was 38-37 with the Nationals this season and 140-172 overall with the team. His managerial record is 662-824 as a manager and was 140-172 with the Nationals.
