There will be no second act with the New York Jets for wide receiver Braylon Edwards, according to a New York Post report
Edwards, who played for the Jets for part of 2009 and all of 2010 , signed with the San Francisco 49ers as a free agent, but played in only nine games because of knee and shoulder injuries. He caught 15 passes for 181 yards. The 49ers waived him before their final regular-season game.
The Jets apparently are pleased with what they’ve seen from Santonio Holmes, rookie Stephen Hill, Chaz Schilens and Jeremy Kerley in organized team activities.
