Super Bowl XLVI: Via Twitter, Underwood wishes Pats good luck

Wide receiver Tiquan Underwood wished the Patriots well via Twitter even after being released by the team Saturday on the eve of the Super Bowl.

Underwood wrote good luck to the organization, the coaches and his teammates. He also wrote that the move was “nothing but motivation” to him and he couldn’t hang his head about it because there are other people in the world with more serious problems.

The Patriots released Underwood on Saturday and promoted defensive lineman Alex Silvestro from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, possibly to help on special teams Sunday.

Underwood remains entitled to a full share of the Super Bowl bonus money given to Patriots players.
