He hasn’t played in a tournament since May, but, with only one major tournament remaining in 2011, Tiger Woods has decided to prepare by playing in next week’s WGC Bridgestone Invitational, the last event before the PGA Championship begins Aug. 11.
Woods, who has been recovering from a knee injury and aggravated Achilles he initially suffered at the Masters, ended speculation about whether he’d play — his swing coach said earlier this week that they hadn’t hit any balls — on Twitter and his website. Now, after firing Steve Williams, who’ll be his caddie?
Feeling fit and ready to tee it up at Firestone next week. Excited to get back out there!
