Tuesday was a lost day at Flushing Meadows as heavy rain washed out both the afternoon and night sessions of the 2011 U.S. Open. Wednesday’s forecast calls for more of the same, but the players scheduled to take the court on a day full of blockbuster matchups are hoping the rain stays away so the draw doesn’t fall further behind.

Andy Murray, who is slated to take on young American hopeful Donald Young in a fourth round match scheduled for 11 a.m., put on his meteorologist hat early Wednesday morning and liked what he saw.
