In order to prevent a potential series of weather delays during tonight’s potentially-decisive World Series Game 6 between the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals, Major League Baseball officials have preemptively postponed the game to Thursday .
With a chance of showers throughout the evening hours (only 30 percent according to weather.com), the grounds crew has covered up the infield at Busch Stadium.
Game 6 has been rescheduled for Thursday at 8:05 p.m. Should the Cardinals stave off elimination, Game 7 would be Friday at the same time.
The Rangers lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 and are one win away from their first World Series title.
