The way the Atlanta Falcons are playing this season, it’s hard to begrudge them a little weekend fun.

Thomas DeCoud took full advantage of a rare moment in the spotlight during a Saturday afternoon “SportsCenter” interview, turning a standard day-before-the-game interview into an instant classic that has since been replayed hundreds of thousands of times on the Internet.

DeCoud broke out a classic — the “meow game.”

The shtick was a favorite of two Vermont state troopers in the 2001 comedy “Super Troopers,” which just so happens to be a favorite of ESPN’s Bram Weinstein. Credit to him for keeping it together.

“You killed me man,” Weinstein wrote in a tweet to DeCoud after the interview. “Funny. I’m a falcons fan now. Meow.”

DeCoud started off slowly, using a few real “now”s before dropping a somewhat obvious “meow” into his first answer, but by the 2:49 mark, he hit his stride.

Just to drive home the point, DeCoud added a clear-as-day “Meow!” cota to the interview, but he stopped short of responding to Weinstein’s question how big the Packers’ Monday night loss was for Atlanta with: “Am I jumping around all nimbly bimbly from tree to tree?”

Meow can you tally how many DeCoud slipped into the interview?
