Saints bus egged at Atlanta airport, players say

The New Orleans Saints-Atlanta Falcons rivalry has spilled over … onto an airport tarmac.

Saints players tweeted Wednesday night that their bus was egged by workers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when the team arrived for its game tonight against the Atlanta Falcons.

In addition to broken eggs, there’s plenty of bad blood between the teams. Roddy White has mocked the “Aints” on Twitter. After the Saints won in Atlanta in 2010, players danced and one player said he pretended to urinate on the logo at midfield.

The Saints won the teams’ matchup earlier this month, prompting White to say, “It’s not like they came out here and won a game today. I think we kind of gave it to them.” The Falcons couldn’t score despite being at the Saints’ 1-yard line late in the game. There’s considerably more at stake tonight. The Falcons can clinch their division if they win and Denver beats Tampa Bay on Sunday. The Saints? They’re fighting to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
