Arian Foster buys Segways for his linemen

Really, nothing says Christmas like helping the hard-to-buy-for 300-pounders on your list take a load off their feet.

Especially when they’re the guys who’ve also helped you land a contract worth more than $40 million.

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, filled with Christmas spirit, gave his linemen Segways after practice Wednesday.

“I feel like all of them big hogs up front can enjoy the joy that I get from riding my Segway,” Foster, who has had a Segway for a while, said (via the Houston Chronicle). “Guys like Chris Myers and D-Brown [Duane Brown] and Wade Smith, they’re always getting on me about riding my Segway. ‘You can’t walk? You’re too good to walk?’ I was like, ‘No, man. I would just rather ride wheels.’ I saw a little jealousy in their eyes when they were talking about me, so I figured I’d get all the linemen a gift.

“They were very thankful, very grateful. I can’t do anything without them. If there is no them, there is no me.”

Yes, they complete him. And they’ve sprung him loose for 1,313 yards and an NFL-best 14 touchdowns.

Let’s just hope those things come with heavy-duty shocks.
