President Obama, Robert Griffin III are at the Syracuse-Marquette game

Count President Obama and Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III among those in the house at Verizon Center for what could be the last game ever between teams from the Big East as we currently know it.

President Obama was shown by CBS on Saturday afternoon seated in a luxury suite taking in the game between Syracuse and Marquette. Here’s a screen shot courtesy of my cellphone.

Usually political figures draw a wide range of reaction when shown on the videoboard inside the arena. But apparently NCAA President Mark Emmert, seated in the same area, took some of the heat off President Obama.

Not to be outdone, it appears Griffin has also decided to get an up close look at Syracuse’s rejuvenated 2-3 zone. According to this tweet, somebody hooked him up with some pretty good seats.

(Update 6:20) — Someone got a photo of President Obama and Griffin III together. Internet. Explodes.
