Kevin Ware, who suffered a gruesome broken last Sunday in Louisville’s victory over Duke, won’t have a locker in the Cardinals’ dressing room. Instead, he’ll have a wheelchair and he’ll be on the bench when Louisville plays Wichita State in the first Final Four game today.

Ware had a whirlwind week after being released from an Indianapolis hospital, where he’d had surgery to repair the open fracture of his tibia. He’s been interviewed by every major news outlet. Oh, and he presented the Top Ten list on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” too, on Thursday, telling Letterman that it was a little like “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”

10. “What was that loud cracking sound?”

9. “I hope this doesn’t leave a bruise.”

8. “Hey look, my tibia!”

7. “Ouch.”

6. “Did it go in?”

5. “Oh boy, hospital food.”

4. “Tape it up, Coach, I’m staying in.”

3. “They fired Leno?”

2. “Heat then ice? Or ice then heat?”

1. “At least my bracket’s not busted.”
