Wichita State’s Carl Hall lost the ball in the back court against Louisville’s press with 6:45 left in the national semifinal Saturday. Peyton Siva’s steal set up a go-ahead three-pointer by Luke Hancock.
Before that, the Shockers hadn’t turned the ball over since midway through the first half (though they did turn it over five times in their next seven possessions). As any Cinderella wanna-be can attest, protecting the basketball can be a nice formula for success, though Louisville is back in front, 60-58, at the last T.V. timeout.
Wichita State’s turnover-free streak just ended at 26 minutes, 21 seconds

That’s a pretty good stat, right? (H/T Buzzfeed Sports)
