Faith Hill’s time is up on “Sunday Night Football.”

The 45-year-old country music star tweeted this morning that, after six years, she no longer will be opening NBC’s weekly primetime game with the musical ditty “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” when the season opens in September.

The song, based on Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ “I Hate Myself for Loving You,” will remain the theme for the No. 1 program on TV the last two years.

“It’s our anthem,” Gaudelli said (via Pro Football Talk).

But who should replace Hill? And don’t say Hank Williams Jr. That didn’t work out so well last time.
