When you gotta test, you gotta test.
Just ask Lindsey Vonn.
The International Olympic Committee’s urine-obtainers interrupted the skier’s appearance at the CFDA Awards on Monday night, the New York Post reports. Testers for the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency phoned her to say they were outside the Lincoln Center shindig in New York City. Vonn’s companion at the event, designer Cynthia Rowley, allowed them to enter and stood guard outside the restroom during the five-minute collection process.
“Lindsey Vonn has participated in the USADA out-of-competition testing pool for more than 12 years,” spokesperson Annie Skinner told the Associated Press. “As part of her participation, she provided USADA with her location information indicating she would be in New York and we performed a test collection on her there. We appreciate her professionalism and for accommodating this process, which at times can be inconvenient.”
Vonn took the test in stride.”She understands it is part of the job,” her spokesman, Lewis Kay, told the AP in an email.
