Sarah Jones, the former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader and high school teacher who found herself in legal trouble last year because of an intimate relationship with a 17-year-old student, is marrying the former pupil.

Jones and Cody York announced their engagement on Facebook, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Jones, then 26, resigned from her position at Dixie Heights High School and pleaded guilty to felony custodial interference and misdemeanor sexual misconduct. The plea kept her out of jail and she also agreed never to teach or coach children. She and Cody York, now 19, continued to see one another, defending their relationship on national TV.

York attends Northern Kentucky University and Jones, now 28, works as a paralegal in her attorney’s office.
