Jay-Z is real star of NBA Finals (video)

The most buzz-worthy part of Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night wasn’t a three from Danny Green or Manu Ginobli’s rebirth or the desperate straits of the Miami Heat.

It was a three-minute Jay-Z commercial/mentary for his new album, “Magna Carta Holy Grail.”

It also happened to be a commercial for Samsung, which will give the music to the first 1 million android phone owners who download an app for the album. They’ll get it July 4, three days before the release of the album.

Jay-Z is shown working in a studio with Rick Rubin, Pharrell Williams, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland. “Pretty much what the album is about is this duality, how do you navigate your way through this whole thing, through success, through failures, through all this, and remain yourself,” he says.
