Running back Jamaal Charles left the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice field this morning on a cart with an injury he suffered as the team was running plays in the end zone.

Charles, according to Coach Andy Reid, has a foot strain and X-rays were negative. Charles, KCStar.com reports, was sitting up on a golf cart when he was taken into the locker room.

Charles, always a popular fantasy football player, missed most of the 2011 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
