Lamar Odom has checked into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, People magazine reports.
Odom was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence last Friday in Los Angeles after a bizarre week in which he was believed to be missing by his wife, reality-TV star Khloe Kardashian. “He realized he needs help,” an unnamed source told People.
The arrest report filed by the California Highway Patrol indicated that Odom showed “objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests as explained and demonstrated.” He refused to take a chemical test, resulting in the suspension of his license for one year.
Odom, a 32-year-old free agent who last played for the Los Angeles Lakers, has struggled with drugs and alcohol in the past.
I wish my friend @RealLamarOdom is doing well. All these rumors are really worrying me. Lamar is one of the best guys I’ve ever played with.

Jordan Farmar, a former teammate, told Dave McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles that some of Odom’s former teammates had reached out to him and gotten no response.
“I’m here for him,” Farmar told McMenamin, when asked what he’d like to say to Odom. “We’re all here for him, really. We know what kind of guy he really is. Everybody goes through tough times in life, and if he needs anybody, he can always reach out to us.”
