Jim Irsay says “I demand better” protection for Andrew Luck

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has a point: Enough already with the lack of protection for Andrew Luck, the No. 1 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.

After Luck led the league in the wrong kind of quarterback hits as a rookie, the Colts went out and improved their offensive line. Which resulted in four hits by the Oakland Raiders’ in Indy’s victory Sunday.

Irsay dropped his manifesto Tuesday on Twitter:

Irsay slides off the rails a bit with his next tweet, but his point about protecting Peyton Manning’s successor is valid with the Miami Dolphins up Sunday.
