Brian Hoyer has been named quarterback of the Cleveland Browns for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

He leapfrogs Jason Campbell, who has been leapfrogged a few times in a few places.

“Brian’s strengths are the best fit for us this week,” Coach Rob Chudzinski said (via the Cleveland Plain Dealer). “He gives us the best chance to win.”

Brandon Weeden sprained his thumb Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
