Despite playing 324 games this season, two teams will meet tonight in Arlington, Texas, for an American League wild-card tiebreaker game.

The Tampa Bay Rays and Texas Rangers, who have identical 91-71 records, will play with the winner advancing to a wild-card game Wednesday against the Indians in Cleveland. That winner goes on to play the Boston Red Sox in the AL Division Series.

The play-in for the playoffs is set for 8:07 EDT (on TBS), with Texas getting home-field advantage because of its 4-3 record against Tampa this year. It’s the 20th tiebreaker game in baseball history.

David Price, the Rays’ reigning Cy Young Award winner, will pitch against rookie Martin Perez.
