Pamela Anderson completed her goal of running the New York City Marathon on Sunday, raising money for Haitian relief.

And, no, the 46-year-old former “Baywatch” star didn’t run the entire 26.2 miles while wearing a red swimsuit and carrying rescue cans. She finished in 5 hours, 41 minutes and 3 seconds and, of course, tweeted about it.

Anderson helped raise more than $75,000 for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization.

“When I finish the race, whatever people’s perceptions of me, this is what I’ve done for a great cause, hopefully inspiring others to do things like this,” she told ESPN. “Everyone has their war stories about being in marathons. But I just think, ‘You know, it’s a great way to see New York,’” she added. “Running the marathon is definitely one of the crazier things I’ve done in my career … I know Hef [Hugh Hefner] is really proud of me!”

After spending most of her career in traditional print sports journalism, Cindy began blogging and tweeting, first as NFL/Redskins editor, and, since August 2010, at The Early Lead. She also is the social media editor for Sports.
