Two bodyguards who shot at paparazzi at the 2009 wedding of Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady in Costa Rica were convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to five years in prison.

Miguel Solis and Alexander Rivas, their now former bodyguards, must also pay $10,000 to the photographers. A third man charged in the incident was acquitted. During the couple’s nuptials, the men had approached photographers and asked that they turn over their camera’s memory cards. As they drove away, the bodyguards opened fire. Neither photographer was hurt.

The superstar quarterback and the supermodel — one of the world’s highest-earning celebrity couples — say they heard none of the to-do. “Absolute total B.S.,” Brady told SI’s Peter King in 2009. “We found two guys on our property, and we told them to get out. Our security guys didn’t even have guns. There were no shots fired.”
